Strict Anti-Ragging Measures

Most educational institutions, including nursing colleges like the Sahyadri Institute of Nursing Education, Sawarde, follow strict anti-ragging policies as per the guidelines of the University Grants Commission (UGC), Indian Nursing Council (INC), and Maharashtra Government regulations.

Key Features of the Anti-Ragging Policy

Zero Tolerance Policy

Any form of ragging, including physical, mental, or emotional harassment, is strictly prohibited.

Legal Framework

Ragging is a punishable offense under the Maharashtra Prohibition of Ragging Act, 1999, and as per UGC regulations.

Punishment may include fines, suspension, expulsion, or even legal action (imprisonment up to 2 years).

Anti-Ragging Committee & Squad

The institute has a dedicated committee to prevent and address any complaints of ragging.

Surprise checks, counseling sessions, and awareness programs are conducted regularly.

Mandatory Affidavit Submission

Students and parents must submit an anti-ragging affidavit at the time of admission, declaring their commitment to not participate in or support ragging
